My clinic offers a comprehensive at-home ECG monitoring service tailored for self-pay patients seeking timely and convenient cardiac assessments. This service is ideal for individuals experiencing symptoms such as palpitations, dizziness, or fainting spells, or for those requiring ongoing monitoring for known heart conditions.

How it works:

  • Book Your Appointment: Select a date for your consultation leaving a window of at least ten days for your monitor to be sent, used and returned.

  • Device Delivery: You will receive a lightweight medical-grade ECG monitor, delivered directly to your home within 24 hours of booking your appointment. One of our team will contact you in that time to ensure you have received your monitor and to check if you need any assistance in applying the device. 

  • At-Home Monitoring: Following the instructions on the device or from our team member, you will apply the device and wear it for 7 days.

  • Data Analysis: After the monitoring period, you will return the device using a pre-paid envelope. Our team of experienced cardiac physiologists will analyse the recorded data, and a detailed report will be compiled.

  • Consultation: A follow-up consultation will be arranged to discuss the findings and any necessary next steps in your care plan.

Self Pay Patients

Initial Consultation

£215

A one-hour appointment in which you can discuss your condition, history or symptoms. Diagnostic tests may be required to complete your consultation. Any diagnostic tests are payable to the hospital either through self pay or via your health insurance ​provider.

Follow Up Consultation

£135

This appointment is for tracking progress made from the initial consultation and for examining results from any diagnostic tests ordered. Dr Shaikh will develop and implement a treatment or management plan that best suits your circumstances and needs. ​

Patients with healthcare insurance from one of my insurance partners can book an appointment with my practice. They must check with their insurance provider as to their level of coverage for consultations, tests or diagnostic appointments so as to be aware of the required excess payments before booking. My practice will then invoice the patient for this excess following the appointment. Use the button below to check if your healthcare insurance provider works with my practice.
